BAE Systems is seeking to improve product testability and yield throughout the test process for F-35 Sustainment, by developing and maintaining test solutions and providing guidance for transitioning new hardware from Production to Sustainment.

Requirements

  • Experience with various test equipment including: Power Supplies, Digital I/O, Oscilloscopes, Switch Matrices, DMMs, Counter/Timers, from various manufacturers including but not limited to Keysight, National Instruments, Teradyne, Tektronix, VTI
  • Skilled test hardware including understanding of RF, digital and analog devices
  • Knowledge of test instruments and their use
  • Experienced in test solution hardware integration
  • Understanding of test techniques and practices to ensure testing is optimized for cost, quality and schedule
  • Defining, integrating, and maintaining hardware test requirements and test performance
  • Initiating continuous improvement of our electronic controls as a response to acceptance test yields and delivered quality metrics

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining the test solutions to improve product testability while improving yield throughout the test process
  • Participating in corrective action board, providing training to technicians in the art of troubleshooting and to optimize throughput
  • Providing guidance for transitioning new hardware from Production to Sustainment
  • Supporting hardware test verification activities to certify hardware test solutions
  • Working with all engineering disciplines to provide guidance for transitioning new hardware from Production to Sustainment
  • Supporting the Air Force Maintenance Facility (Depot)
  • Applying skills to solve some of our biggest challenges for Sustainment hardware including state of the art radar warning, electronic support measures, broadband electronic attack, and electronic protection

Other

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline and 2 years work experience
  • Current Secret Clearance
  • Possess good communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication across multiple shifts
  • Understanding the need for, and be an advocate of, disciplined approaches (requirements, processes, and practices)
  • Proactive and problem-solving mindset
