Goodyear is looking for an Operations Leader at their Proving Grounds to oversee vehicle-based testing, facility maintenance, and support functions to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations that impact product development and performance.
Requirements
- Experience with vehicle-based tire testing and facility operations.
- Strong understanding of ISO/TS/ECE standards and auditing.
- Familiarity with Goodyear safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in tools like SAP, Microsoft Office, Tableau, and internal systems (GTTD, TDIS).
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical data and testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee objective vehicle-based testing, facility maintenance, and logistics.
- Prioritize and allocate resources to meet testing schedules and customer needs.
- Maintain high-quality testing and maintenance practices.
- Identify and lead strategic projects to enhance efficiency, standardization, and data quality.
- Support the development and implementation of new technologies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of strategic, annual, and 5-year operational and capital plans for the department and Proving Grounds.
Other
- Associate’s degree with 7+ years in R&D, manufacturing, or industrial operations, required (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Proven leadership in a decentralized or technical environment.
- Manage and mentor a team of operations professionals.
- Lead performance management, training, and succession planning to build a resilient and flexible workforce.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
