The Walt Disney Studios is looking to solve creative problems through innovation, strategy, and forward thinking by developing an application to manage cinematic canon for its Studio banners and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience using modern web libraries and frameworks (React, Tailwind,etc)
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems proactively, thoughtfully, and flexibly
- Previous internship experience working on web applications or products
- Previous experience in the entertainment or technology industry
- Relevant coursework or including (but not limited to) computer science, software engineering, etc.—or personal projects demonstrating skills in these areas
Responsibilities
- Support front-end feature development for specific features on a web application
- Leverage the specific technologies, languages, and frameworks required to build feature sets
- Participate in code reviews, QA, and troubleshooting sessions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for your code and work
- Work closely with Product team using agile (scrum, kanban) methodologies and software development lifecycle models, as well as traditional project management principles and practices
- Thoughtfully account for stakeholder requirements & feedback in all stages of development work, translating those needs into well-informed solutions and seeking clarity where needed

- Work well with both technical and cross-functional team members by prioritizing open lines of communication in a collaborative environment with many different personalities
- Demonstrate the ability to understand product requirements and contribute to technical solutions under the guidance of a product manager and technical lead
- Be a self-starter with the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, whether independently, collaboratively with immediate team members, or cooperatively across cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed corporate environment
- Have personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information
- Balance the ability to clearly articulate your approach to solving technical problems with an open-mindedness to try new approaches based on emerging technologies
- Make inclusivity and belonging top priorities in all aspects of their team’s work
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Major or previous coursework in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
