Marine Solutions is looking for a Civil Engineer Summer Intern to assist in various project tasks and gain hands-on experience in the field of civil engineering
Requirements
- Higher-level mathematics, including trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and calculus, and its application to surveying and engineering computations
- Proficient in technical writing
- Proficient in basic computer functions (Microsoft Office, etc.)
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Engineering software experience
- Knowledge of construction practices (concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, etc.)
- Knowledge of current literature, trends, and developments in the field of engineering
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections under the direction of higher-level engineers
- Prepare reports, studies, and related documents
- Participate in technical review meetings with engineering and planning staff
- Review engineering plans, reports, studies, and related documents
- Assisting with various engineering tasks and assignments such as preparing for and conducting field inspections, data reduction, reporting, engineering analyses, and design
Other
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language
- Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate findings/results
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively

- Current medical certifications including bloodborne pathogens, first aid, CPR, and emergency oxygen administration if performing fieldwork
