Marine Solutions is looking for a Civil Engineer Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience in the field, learn and contribute to real-world projects, and gain practical insights into the infrastructure and construction industry.
Requirements
- Higher-level mathematics, including trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and calculus, and its application to surveying and engineering computations.
- Possess knowledge of current literature, trends, and developments in the field of engineering and the ability to keep current with new developments.
- Possess knowledge of construction practices (concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, etc.).
- Proficient in technical writing.
- Proficient in basic computer functions (Microsoft Office, etc.).
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Engineering software experience
Responsibilities
- assisting with various engineering tasks and assignments such as preparing for and conducting field inspections, data reduction, reporting, engineering analyses, and design.
- Perform inspections under the direction of higher-level engineers.
- Prepare reports, studies, and related documents.
- Participate in technical review meetings with engineering and planning staff.
- Review engineering plans, reports, studies, and related documents.

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
- Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate findings/results.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
- 0-4 years of relevant experience.
- Be a self-starter and able to work as independently as possible.
