Jump Trading Group is seeking a Trade Accountant to manage accounting operations related to trading positions and profit & loss, ensuring accurate financial data and driving business growth.
Requirements
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, including experience with lookup functions and pivot tables
- Experience with SQL database tools, including building and executing queries
- Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting systems
- Trading industry accounting/finance experience preferred
- CPA, or international equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain primary responsibility for the execution of the monthly accounting close for one or more trading entities
- Record daily transactions, such as fund transfers and other trading activity
- Support monthly trade team profit & loss reporting processes
- Ensure trading related balances are accurately and completely stated on the balance sheet
- Review data for anomalies while ensuring proper explanation and documentation
- Assist with external financial audits, taxes, and compliance matters

- 3+ years of work experience in an accounting role
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to define and resolve problems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent documentation skills
- Collaborative and able to build and sustain relationships with colleagues
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
