Caterpillar Inc. is looking to ensure daily import & export compliance activity for Caterpillar parts and product flow across international borders in compliance with Customs regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the markets, issues, regulations, practices and operations of international trade; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in diverse situations.
- Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Trade compliance certification such as LCB, CCS, CES or CUSECO
- Process Improvement experience
Responsibilities
- Coordinating customs documents & data requirements with internal customers
- Coordinating operations with customs brokers
- On-going support and communications pertaining to US imports
- Driving defect resolution to ensure filing accuracy & timeliness
- Executing continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency & eliminate process waste.

- This role is located in Peoria, IL and does not offer relocation
- This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
- This role requires up to 10% domestic travel
