Gunvor Group is looking for Trading Commodities Interns to gain hands-on experience in energy trading and develop a deep understanding of commodities markets.
Requirements
- Ability to process and interpret large datasets, with strong proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools.
- Familiarity with trading platforms, data visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau), or financial modeling would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering and analyzing data on global commodity markets, including oil, natural gas, and refined products.
- Support traders in the execution and monitoring of trades, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and risk management guidelines.
- Work with internal tools and platforms to update and maintain market reports, trading records, and performance metrics.
- Help assess and manage risks associated with trading activities by reviewing positions and exposures.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports on market developments, trading performance, and other relevant metrics.
- Work closely with other teams within the organization, including risk management, operations, and logistics, to ensure the smooth execution of trades and overall trading strategies.
Other
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A strong interest in commodities trading, financial markets, and global energy trends.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when working with complex data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Additional language skills (e.g., Russian, Spanish, or French) would be a plus.
