Jacobs is seeking a Transportation/Rail Engineering Intern to join their Transportation team to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to clients' challenges locally and worldwide, involving planning, design, and execution of rail infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Course work related to transportation
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (Microstation/Inroads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D)
- Ability to utilize design manuals, as needed.
Responsibilities
- involved in a variety of engineering tasks for our Rail and Transit clients, including planning, design, and execution of rail infrastructure projects.
- work with a multidisciplinary team taking on variety of tasks that blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application.
- work on Rail Stations and transportation structure construction projects.
- Projects range from extending and renovating existing facilities to developing new alignments, depots, and stations.
- progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.
