The company is looking to solve the problem of inefficient business processes and legacy systems used to track and report newsprint inventory at their internally owned print plants, by completing the in-flight Newsprint Reporting (NPR) project.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft .NET and .NET Core C-Sharp language
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with JSON and XML
- Experience with RESTful web services
- Experience with web design (UI/UX) and development using ASP.NET Core and Telerik HTML/JavaScript Kendo UI widgets
- Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Experience with software version control, GitHub
Responsibilities
- The candidate will be asked to work closely with the existing project team members on a number of tasks which allow us to complete our in-flight Newsprint Reporting (NPR) project.
- The NPR project will allow us to sunset several legacy systems currently being used to track and report newsprint inventory at our internally owned print plants.
- The project also involves keeping track of our contracted printing partners' abilities to print our nightly editions.
- Developing reports for purposes of data analysis and business intelligence, preferably using SQL Server Reporting Services
- Creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests
- Working with cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Working with relational databases, SQL Server
