UBS is looking to transform into an agile organization by designing and building attractive digital products and services, requiring a UI Frontend Developer to play a key role in this transformation.
Requirements
- good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors (Less, Sass)
- understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
- good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as ReactJS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, etc.
- proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery, Highcharts, D3.js, etc.
- proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git, SVN)
- familiarity with development aiding tools (such as Task Automation, Testing Frameworks, Package Management, Component Management)
Responsibilities
- design overall architecture of web application for delivering on the business needs
- implement robust set of services and APIs to power the web application
- build reusable code and libraries for future use
- optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- focus on implementation of security and data protection
- translate UI/UX wireframes to visual elements
- integrate front-end and back-end aspects of the web application
Other
- ideally 8+ years of solid experience in web development in a large enterprise environment
- hands-on technical experience working with both onshore and offshore developers
- software designer with the ability to balance architecture tradeoffs in a system design
- Bachelor or equivalent focusing on engineering or science or foreign equivalent
