Peraton is looking to advance the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA's Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract. The company aims to integrate next-generation technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), satellite navigation, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to ensure the United States remains at the forefront of aviation advancements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a software engineer focused on user interfaces
- Experience working with front-end technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript and CSS, along with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, JQuery, etc.
- Experience working with back-end technologies such as Java and Python, especially for the development of APIs, web services, and web applications
- Experience with UX design, user-centric design concepts, and accessibility.
- Prior experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience with professional software development practices, such as source code management, code reviews, and testing.
- Experience with front-end testing tools, such as Cypress, Jest, and Selenium
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leading experts in government, academia, and industry to address some of the most complex challenges in modern aviation.
- Contribute to critical research programs at premier facilities such as the William J. Hughes Technical Center, where cutting-edge simulations and testing shape the National Airspace System (NAS).
- Bridge research and operational application, ensuring innovative solutions are practical, safe, and ready for deployment across the aviation ecosystem.
- Conduct and guide research and development on technologies supporting the NAS, airport infrastructure, and air traffic management.
- Lead or contribute to design, testing, and innovation initiatives for next-generation aviation systems.
