Design Interactive, Inc. is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to create user-friendly interfaces for complex applications used in national security and safety, aiming to improve decision-making, training efficacy, and operational performance for military and intelligence personnel.
Requirements
- Proficiency with design tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar
- Experience with wireframing, visual design, and creating user flows and diagrams
- Knowledge of Intelligence or Electronic Warfare domains is preferred
- Experience with Design Systems and user testing methodologies
Responsibilities
- Design and develop user interfaces that are visually appealing, intuitive, and aligned with user needs and project goals
- Collaborate with UX team members, developers, and stakeholders to conceptualize and prototype innovative solutions
- Create wireframes, diagrams, user flows, and annotations to communicate design ideas effectively
- Present design concepts to stakeholders, gather feedback, and iterate to improve usability
- Work within Agile frameworks to deliver high-quality work products on schedule
- Learn and understand complex Army workflows, including Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Modeling & Simulation, to produce domain-specific designs
- Participate in user testing, develop usability test scenarios, and evaluate user feedback to refine interfaces
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience with a strong portfolio)
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX or UI design, with a focus on true design work rather than management roles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for presenting designs and explaining decisions
- Ability to work effectively within Agile development processes and meet deadlines
- Relevant certifications such as UX or Agile certifications are a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for on-site engagements and user touchpoints
- Regular virtual check-ins and occasional travel to sites such as Orlando, MD, or Ft. Cavazos, TX, will be part of your responsibilities, supporting ongoing user engagement and feedback sessions.
