Steampunk is looking to solve client-focused, mission-driven excellence problems in the Federal contracting industry by bringing new thinking to clients in the Homeland, Federal Civilian, Health and DoD sectors.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in human centered design, service design, and/or customer experience design
- 4+ years of experience delivering interface design solutions for various clients, including highly detailed annotated wireframes and user flows within complex web or mobile applications
- Experience developing rapid prototypes and producing wireframes for user interfaces
- Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience applying design thinking methods and tools to solve end to end challenges
- Experience in workshop facilitation and co-creation, including with groups of senior organizational leaders
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary groups including UX and UI designers, technologists, and engineers
- A natural curiosity for solving problems coupled with strong analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Facilitate discovery and innovation workshops for a range of government audiences, from senior leaders to front-line implementers, utilizing human-centered methods, tools, and best practices
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to co-design workshop agendas and exercises that help achieve strategic and tactical objectives
- Synthesize research, insights, and data to help drive solutions for organizational challenges
- Craft compelling stories and visual models to communicate insights and discoveries that will shape service innovations
- Understand the relevance of and how to articulate: journey maps, service blueprints, personas, ecosystem and experience maps
- Understand how user research should be integrated into developing technology
- Ensure all deliverables across a variety of projects are produced at the highest quality
Other
- Degree or equivalent experience in HCD, HCI, service design, and/or experience design
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government public trust
- A collaborative nature with excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Strong client communication skills
- Experience working in a project-based environment
