Vantor is seeking a frontend-focused software developer with strong user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) skills to join their team to create intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing interfaces that make their applications easy and enjoyable to use, ultimately impacting real-world missions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3).
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (Angular or React).
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, design systems, and accessibility standards.
- Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD) and experience taking designs from wireframes and mockups to working user interfaces.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Experience in a government or defense contracting environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain frontend features using modern web frameworks (e.g., React or Angular).
- Translate wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts into high-quality, responsive code.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences that meet mission requirements.
- Advocate for UX best practices and ensure accessibility and usability across all platforms.
- Own the design and usability of multiple applications and mentor junior developers.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
- Contribute to design discussions, user testing, and iterative improvements of our products.
