Deliver intuitive and innovative designs that drive user satisfaction and efficiency across federal government programs.
Requirements
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile and iterative development processes.
- Experience ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG 2.1).
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to illustrate user interfaces and workflows for web and mobile applications.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design solutions align with technical and functional requirements.
- Ensure designs meet Section 508 compliance and WCAG standards for accessibility.
- Incorporate user feedback and analytics data to refine and improve designs.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, style guides, and component libraries to support consistent branding and development.
Other
- An active Secret clearance OR the ability to obtain
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, including designing for federal government systems or similar domains.
- Occasional travel to the DC area will be required.
