Leidos is seeking a skilled UI/UX Front-End Engineer to develop high-quality web applications using a state-of-the-art technology stack in support of an emerging NMEC program, the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP), which utilizes AI for data enrichment, triage, and analytics for Defense and Intelligence Community partners.
Requirements
- Experience with modern front-end libraries such as ReactJS and/or Angular, with a minimum of 2 years professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of HTTP web requests for fetching JSON data.
- Experience with writing frontend unit tests.
- Experience with writing backend web API services especially Python.
- Experience coding in other languages such as Python.
- Familiarity with NoSQL datastores such as Elasticsearch.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using ReactJS and Python.
- Coding, testing, and debugging new and/or existing web applications.
- Implementing and refining user interfaces.
- Conducting thorough unit testing via automated tooling.
- Collaborating with other team members (internal and external) to ensure optimal performance and usability.
- Peer reviewing code written by fellow team members.
- Utilizing virtualization technologies like Docker and Podman.
Other
- Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and possess a solid understanding of the software development life cycle all while working within an Agile framework.
- You bring enthusiasm and initiative while having the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to write well-documented code.
- Must possess an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Poly.
- While most tasks are conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible work schedule and occasional remote work. The percentage of remote work will vary based on client requirements/deliverables.
