Indiana University's UITS Departmental Solutions (DSOL) Web Team needs to support and maintain approximately 300 departmental websites, develop shared tools for efficient content management, and provide technical and infrastructure support for over 1,200 enterprise websites. This role aims to contribute to these efforts by assisting with website updates, testing, migrations, and basic technical support, while also providing students with hands-on experience.

Requirements

  • Learns and uses web content management systems (WCMS) under supervision.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS or content management systems

Responsibilities

  • Assists with updating and maintaining departmental website content.
  • Supports basic website testing to ensure pages display and function correctly.
  • Helps with website migrations by organizing files, checking links, and verifying layouts.
  • Provides basic technical support to team members and departments as needed.
  • Learns and uses web content management systems (WCMS) under supervision.
  • Documents simple processes or updates to help improve team workflows.
  • Collaborates with developers and analysts on small projects and shared tools.

  • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University with an interest in IT Related Fields
  • Some experience in IT
  • Strong willingness to learn new technologies and tools
  • Attention to detail when updating or reviewing website content
  • Basic computer literacy (comfortable using web browsers, Word/Google Docs, spreadsheets)
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently with supervision

  • This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.
