Amgen is seeking to advance early-stage programs toward novel therapies in Oncology discovery research to serve patients living with serious illnesses

Requirements

• Familiarity with wet lab workflows, including mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique
• Degree concentration in Immunology, Cell Biology or similar

Responsibilities

• Design and perform in vitro assays to characterize novel target biology, elucidate therapeutic mechanisms of action, and inform indication selection
• Analyze and interpret results, keep detailed records using an electronic notebook
• Survey literature/databases to support target prioritization and validation
• Summarize and present findings during lab meetings and at an internal symposium

Other

• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
• Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
• Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship with an accredited college or university
• Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
• Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship
