Mayo Clinic is looking to support its marketing activities and provide content from third parties by hiring an Undergraduate Engineering Intern for Project Management to assist full-time project managers and provide students with relevant engineering experiences.
Requirements
- proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Office, SharePoint, Teams, and Excel to manage data and create reports
- experience in new product development
- strong technical writing skills and be able to author technical documents
- familiarity with Engineering’s Quality Management System (including safety risk management)
- ability to work in a multi-disciplinary development engineering environment
- knowledge of development processes and documentation requirements of medical device creation
- experience conducting stakeholder interviews to elicit needs and requirements
Responsibilities
- implementing improved portfolio management processes
- assisting project managers in developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets
- interviewing stakeholders and drafting project requirements
- drafting product documentation (technical writing)
- gathering metrics to track progress toward strategic goals
- helping develop and document best practices in product development
- creating custom reports related to the project portfolio to help make strategic decisions

- desire to learn about medical device development
- enrolled in an engineering, management information systems, or other technology-related degree program from an accredited college or university
- GPA of 3.4 or greater on a 4.0 scale
