J Davis Construction is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead, manage, and maintain accountability of the sales and marketing disciplines that support J Davis Construction divisional strategy and goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management and business development within industrial services or related sectors.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to build comprehensive sales and marketing plans.
- Strong understanding of industrial markets, products, services, and trends.
- Experienced key account manager with large complex accounts.
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Basic understanding of construction contracts and supply agreements.
Responsibilities
- Develop & Execute Sales and Marketing Plans. Lead the creation of an annual sales and marketing plan, including market assessments, key sales strategies, and marketing tactics.
- Create and manage a sales and marketing budget, ensuring reasonable ROI while effectively supporting business goals
- Build and lead a high-performance sales and marketing team committed to the company's mission and values.
- Lead the sales and marketing team by setting clear accountabilities, measurable performance indicators, and using EOS tools for continuous improvement.
- Conduct monthly one-on-one reviews with marketing and customer service teams to ensure progress and provide strategic guidance.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with top clients while pursuing new business opportunities and expanding services to increase revenue.
- Monitor industry trends, new business developments, and economic news to identify opportunities.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and build relationships with decision-makers.
- Actively participate in annual and quarterly strategy meetings utilizing the EOS methodology to align goals across the division.
- Advise external project managers on territory strategies and provide monthly reviews of action plans.
