Requirements
- Strong understanding of artificial lift systems and production optimization techniques
- Field experience in wellhead and production and measurement configuration and optimization with familiarity in site instrumentation and controllers
- Proficiency in analyzing production data and applying insights to lift optimization
- Experience integrating RTUs/PLCs with SCADA and cloud-based platform
- Familiarity with oil and gas production, automation, or instrumentation
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with production engineers to define optimization objectives and translate them into platform configurations and control strategies.
- Lead the integration of site optimization platforms with RTU/PLC/HMI systems and SCADA infrastructure and develop and maintain documentation for platform configurations, control logic, and optimization workflows.
- Analyze production data to identify optimization opportunities and support engineering decision-making and configure and support lift optimization algorithms for all types of artificially lifted wells.
- Serve as a technical liaison between engineering, operations, and R&D and support cloud-based analytics workflows, including data ingestion, validation, and visualization.
- Train engineering and operations staff on platform capabilities, data interpretation, and optimization strategies.
Other
- 5+ years of experience in oil & gas production, automation, or instrumentation role is required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field is preferred
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
- Strong documentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with production engineers
- Ability to work in a hybrid model with an office location in Bartlesville, OK
