EY-Parthenon's Software Strategy Group (SSG) advises private equity investors and portfolio companies on technology markets and companies, aiming to develop leaders in the 'Software Economy.' The Summer Associate will engage in conversations with private equity investors and tech leaders, conduct thorough market and competitive research, assess company strengths to advise on growth and technology strategies, and present conclusions to the team and clients.
Requirements
- Outstanding academic performance, including coursework relevant to the position, such as quantitative courses in finance, mathematics, business, economics, biologic sciences, computer science, or engineering
- Demonstrated interest in the tech industry through startup experience, internships, course work, extracurricular activities or research and writing on the subject
- A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
- The ability to assess complex situations and business problems to formulate potential solutions for our clients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot

- A predicted bachelor’s degree from an undergraduate institution
- Proficiency in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites; a driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations
- The ability and the confidence to establish meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues
- Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
