Walmart's Last-Mile Delivery team is looking to turn repetitive, manual operational problems into intelligent, automated workflows for their Spark Driver network, aiming to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness in their eCommerce fulfillment.
Requirements
- Experience working with AI/ML teams on real-time or event-driven systems.
- Experience with exception management systems or intelligent workflow platforms.
- Knowledge of agentic system design or multi-agent orchestration.
- Background in behavioral ops, process mining, or digital twins.
- Data science, machine learning, optimization models
- Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch)
Responsibilities
- Define and map workflows across Spark’s last-mile operations where automation can be applied.
- Build orchestration frameworks to coordinate between AI agents, operations teams, and tooling systems.
- Collaborate with engineering to implement agent-driven resolution flows for key exception types.
- Track system performance for auto-resolution rates, manual escalations, and intervention speed.
- Partner with Ops, Product, and Adoption leads to refine workflows for usability and impact.
- Continuously improve workflows based on telemetry, operational feedback, and impact metrics.
Other
- 5+ years of experience in operations design, process automation, or workflow engineering.
- Deep understanding of fulfillment or last-mile operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with exception telemetry and operations metrics.
- Ability to translate operational complexity into modular, automatable workflows.
- Track record of improving resolution speed and reducing manual triage in operations.
- Skilled in cross-functional coordination across engineering, product, and ops.
- The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
