Walmart's Last-Mile Delivery team is building intelligent systems to power their delivery infrastructure, specifically focusing on balancing driver supply with fulfillment demand at scale for their Spark Driver network. The Sr. Manager of AI Supply Automation will develop AI-led automation to forecast supply gaps and optimize reliability, cost, and coverage.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Mode).
- Experience with reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, or behavioral segmentation.
- Experience designing and measuring the impact of automated interventions at scale.
- Familiarity with agentic system design and real-time system feedback loops.
- Data science, machine learning, optimization models
- Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch)
Responsibilities
- Develop systems that forecast driver availability and supply gaps at regional and national levels.
- Design and implement automation that activates supply levers (e.g., pings, positioning, incentives, messaging).
- Partner with Operations, Product, Engineering and Data Science to scale intelligent decision-making across markets.
- Collaborate with Field Ops to test supply interventions and evaluate impact.
- Define and own supply-side KPIs (e.g., coverage rate, supply utilization, incentive ROI).

- 5+ years of experience in supply planning, logistics optimization, product analytics, or applied AI.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into operational impact.
- Experience collaborating across product, operations, and technical teams.
- Effective communicator with an ability to explain complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Background in marketplace logistics, gig economy, or AI-based operational systems.
- Ability to drive iterative thinking in ambiguous, fast-evolving problem spaces.
