Requirements
- Proven software development expertise with one or more: Java, Scala, Lua, Go, Rust, Node
- Maintaining and deploying computing environments across local and cloud-based systems
- Experience developing and maintaining large-scale systems
- Ability to proactively manage projects and troubleshoot issues
- Experience working with Experimentation (A/B Testing)
- Experience working with Feature Flags and risk-mitigated deployments
- Experience building data solutions and AI/ML products
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale efficient and reliable systems and pipelines to support teams globally throughout Walmart
- Work in an agile and diverse engineering team, closely partnering with data scientists, engineers, and analysts developing leadership skills that will help you grow your career
- Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; designing solutions (design docs, wireframes, implementation plans); writing and developing code; testing; collaborating with cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery.
- Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (issue, impact, criticality, root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; and performing actions as designated in the plan.
- Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
