Walmart Global Tech is looking to design and build robust backend systems to power seamless digital experiences for millions of customers, supporting Walmart International's operations across 23 countries.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Java technologies, Distributed systems and large-scale application development and design.
- Hands on experience Spring Boot, REST, Kafka, Cassandra.
- Experience with a containerization technology and Microservices.
- Well versed in CI/CD and exposure to DevOps practices, and monitoring tools.
- Strong adherence to SLDC process and Scrum/agile methodologies.
- Work with Java, Multithreading, Data Structures, Algorithm, Design Patterns and develop robust high-performance and scalable applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to support Walmart’s digital experiences.
- Collaborate with product managers, front-end engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful features and solutions.
- Build scalable and reliable systems that handle large volumes of traffic and data.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following engineering best practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in distributed systems across environments.
- Contribute to performance optimization, security improvements, and system resilience.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Or 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Masters: Computer Science.
- Customer Service: Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
