Nextant is looking to solve the problem of ensuring product design decisions are data-driven and user-centered by hiring a Usability Researcher to conduct quantitative and qualitative research to uncover user needs, preferences, and pain points.
Requirements
- Experience with Python, R, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Expertise in data extraction, cleansing, manipulation, and visualization.
- Strong background in statistical analysis and data modeling.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Data Domain/Data Science and research methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience with data analysis and statistical tools.
- Solid knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile environments and with enterprise security software.
Responsibilities
- Conducting quantitative user research and integrating findings with qualitative studies to identify user needs and challenges.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to define research goals and integrate insights into the development process.
- Using analytic tools and techniques to analyze large data sets, uncover patterns, and derive meaningful insights about user behavior.
- Developing and executing research methods, including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and user voice analysis.
- Defining key UX metrics and building measurement frameworks to track improvements and engagement.
- Partnering with data scientists and analysts to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
- Building a deep understanding of both technical and non-technical users of Microsoft Security products to ensure solutions meet expectations.
Other
- Master’s degree in HCI, Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, or related field (Ph.D. a plus).
- 3–10 years in UX research and statistical analysis of large datasets.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to share findings with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in a B2B environment.
