At PrizePicks, the business problem is to reimagine the Daily Fantasy Sports industry and build a product that fans love by conducting UX research and enhancing the user experience.

Requirements

    • Foundational Knowledge: Basic familiarity with UX research processes and qualitative methods, such as usability testing.
    • An Analytical Approach: A passion for solving interesting problems and a strong ability to think critically.
    • Bonus Points: Coursework or a degree in a relevant field like Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, or Cognitive Science; a portfolio of your research projects; or a passion for sports and daily fantasy.

Responsibilities

    • Get Hands-On Experience: Partner directly with the UX Research team, observing senior researchers and participating in end-to-end research studies.
    • Help Shape the Work: Collaborate with mentors to identify research opportunities and assist in creating key study materials like research plans and discussion guides.
    • Conduct Research: Gain practical experience with core methods like usability testing and in-depth user interviews.
    • Analyze & Uncover: Help organize, analyze, and interpret qualitative data to find key themes and insights.
    • Share Your Findings: Assist in preparing and presenting compelling research findings to product, design, and other partners, helping them make data-driven decisions.

  • Education Level: Ideal candidates are rising juniors and seniors or graduate students who have had prior internships related to UX Research.
