Mudflap is looking to deeply understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of its diverse user base (drivers, fleet owners, fuel merchant partners) to drive customer-centric solutions and enhance user experience within its payment products for the trucking industry.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods (interviews, surveys, usability testing, A/B testing, etc.)
- Ability to analyze and synthesize research data into clear insights and recommendations
- Experience collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams
- Experience with user research tools (e.g., Lookback, Optimal Workshop, UserTesting, etc.) and data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, etc.)
- A growth mindset and curiosity to continuously learn and adapt research methods
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field studies
- Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and present them to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize user research in the product development process
- Create personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to communicate research insights
- Analyze and present both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design and product decisions
- Advocate for the voice of the user in all stages of the product development lifecycle
- Maintain a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors to help us improve existing products and design new solutions
Other
- 3+ years of experience in user research, preferably within a fast-paced tech or marketplace environment
- Preferred industry experience in trucking, transportation, or related mobility sectors
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to advocate for the user
- Preferably based near Austin, TX or the Bay Area, CA, but we’re open to remote for the right candidate.
