WEC is growing and has an immediate opening for a UX Design Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain world-class enterprise software and applications in support of the World Equestrian Center's leadership in equestrian sports and the hospitality industry.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience crafting polished, public-facing user design
- 3+ years of experience professional front-end software development.
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JS-based front-ends (React via NextJS preferred).
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles.
- Experience designing and implementing micro-interactions.
- Experience with design systems (e.g., Material UI, Storybook)
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and optimize user workflows through collaboration with end-users and key stakeholders.
- Design wireframes and mocks in support of new and changing software requirements.
- Contribute directly to the front-end styling and implementation of user-facing code.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering team members in a growing, high-trust environment.
- Design and implement micro-interactions.
- Design systems (e.g., Material UI, Storybook).
- Familiarity with performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility.
