Emerson is looking for a UX Design Intern to create groundbreaking solutions that are easy to use, meet user needs, and deliver value to the business.
Requirements
- Completed courses in design, user experience, human centered design, or human factors
- A design portfolio demonstrating command of a holistic design process and the ability to create design artifacts because of that process
- Experience with agile development methodologies
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with agile development teams and other stakeholders to deliver products and features that deliver value to both our customers and our business
- Participate in design workshops to ideate on solutions that will create intuitive user experiences and eliminate customer difficulties
- Work with agile development teams to create product designs including creating personas, user flows, storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and other design artifacts as needed
- Follow the Emerson design standards to provide design consistency across our product portfolio and help maintain those design standards as needed
- Actively seek feedback from end users about product designs and use that feedback to improve the designs
- Assist other User Experience Designers working on product designs.
Other
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, User Experience, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Junior or Senior
- Demonstrated leadership skills such as serving in a leadership role in student organization
