Requirements
- Depth of knowledge of tools and workflows used in software development
- Effective at driving clarity in product vision that unites technical requirements with user focus
- Portfolio demonstrating product design leadership, creative problem solving, and high quality visual design polish
- 5+ years industry experience as a UX designer, Human Computer interaction designer, or related role
- 2+ years of design management experience
Responsibilities
- Conceptualizes, designs and ships the user experience for Apple developer tools
- Designs developer tools, including Xcode
- Lead a small team to deliver user experience designs across multiple projects and tools
- Drive design direction with a mix of hands on design work and providing creative direction and feedback to the team
- Interpret and challenge highly technical engineering requirements and business goals to advocate for user-focused product decisions
- Champion Apple's design standards and ensure that designs are functional, comprehensive, and maintains a high level of visual quality
