Requirements

  • 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
  • Experience with geospatial platforms, data visualization, gaming, or immersive 3D experiences.
  • Experience in motion design and how to leverage it for micro-interactions in product experience.
  • Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
  • Experience in developing interactive prototypes.
  • Experience building accessible products.
  • Experience with geospatial platforms, data visualization, gaming, or immersive 3D experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes.
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
  • Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
  • Design intuitive user experiences for visualizing and interacting with complex geospatial datasets (e.g., Vector and Raster) in 2D and 3D.
  • Create industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution.
  • Leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use.
  • Focus on maps based interactions and geospatial data visualization (2D and 3D).

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in geography, cartography or sustainability.
