Microsoft Security is looking to reshape security and empower users with a security cloud that protects them with end-to-end, simplified solutions. The UX Engineering role is crucial in developing new and emerging AI patterns and behaviors across the Security ecosystem, driving consistency in shared Copilot and agentic experiences, and evolving Microsoft Fluent for Security users.
Requirements
- 1+ year(s) of experience designing AI-powered experiences and working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Proficiency in Figma and a range of design processes including journey mapping, design sprints, and prototyping.
- Interaction and visual design skills with hands-on experience creating wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and design artifacts in fast-paced tech environments.
- Front-end development skills with proficiency in React and a solid understanding of design systems and component libraries.
- Interest in deep learning and NL/ML using Python
- Experience with AI-assisted creation tools is highly valued (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Lovable AI, Claude).
Responsibilities

- Use cutting-edge AI tools and frameworks to accelerate and elevate your design process while preserving thoughtful, human-centered design.
- Apply systems thinking to reinforce design system integrity and product cohesion.
- Create wireframes, journey maps, and prototypes or working front-end code to iterate and validate ideas.
- Contribute directly to front-end implementation, ensuring design intent is realized in product.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape product narratives, architectures, and long-term vision.

- The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
