FanDuel is looking for a UX Research Sr. Manager to lead their Core Products and Experiences vertical, focusing on Account, Payments, and Responsible Gaming teams. The goal is to ensure user and business needs are met to the highest standards by bringing user insights into the product design and development process.
Requirements
- Robust portfolio that demonstrates your UXR expertise, examples of your UXR leadership approach and impact.
- Strong expertise in UXR principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Deep knowledge of collaboration and familiarity with design and research tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe CS, dScout, JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
- Ability to inspire, teach, and engage UXRs across experience levels to solve complex problems
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, create alignment, and facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams,
- Experience in hiring and building inclusive, talented UXR teams.
- Experience building trust and close partnerships with cross-functional partners, including product, UX research, marketing, engineering, and other delivery leaders to meet deadlines, shape and prioritize complex work, and deliver quality products.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse team of UX Researchers that consistently delivers impactful human-centered experiences that meet user needs and business goals.
- Coach and mentor team performance, manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and cultivate a culture of UX Research excellence.
- Lead the UXR team through all phases of product discovery, ideation, design, and testing
- Use visual storytelling and insights to influence stakeholders and create energy around an idea or an initiative
- Introduce user-centered methodologies, frameworks and thought leadership to help facilitate strategic alignment across the organization.
- Advocate for and integrate UX Research into the product design process by driving research roadmaps, helping the team leverage insights in design decisions, and collaborating with design team to create necessary prototypes/assets for studies and experiments.
- Lead projects with full autonomy, requiring minimal guidance to move forward efficiently and effectively.

- 5+ years of people management experience, working with multiple direct reports supporting their careers, managing their performance, and finding opportunities for their growth
- Strong presentation and communication skills suited for our executive teams and external partners that leverage insights storytelling to drive alignment
- Embody a growth mindset and a deep curiosity for the business, emerging technologies and human behavior
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams, across multiple time zones.
- Experience in the gaming, digital entertainment, payments, e-commerce, or sports industries is highly desirable.
