Requirements

  • Experience utilizing various research design methods (i.e. usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.)
  • Relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting.
  • Experienced or interested in monetization products and product design processes.
  • Experience leading strategic research efforts and integrating user research into product designs.
  • Comfortable dealing with conflicts, solving ambiguous and open-ended problems independently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic research to identify novel product opportunities and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.
  • Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing).
  • Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.

Other

  • At least 5 years of experience working in UX Research.
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of the program with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven ability to lead creative projects, solve complex problems using data, and inspire the team to think outside the box.
  • Passionate about contributing and building an outstanding and industry-leading design community.
  • Collaborative, establish relationships quickly, and have experience influencing and working with multiple cross-functional partners, including leaders.
