TikTok Monetization User Research team aims to help clients connect with audiences and unlock brand potential by inspiring and empowering them to achieve goals, explore opportunities, and create value through TikTok.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including in-depth interviews, focus groups, concept testing, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data analysis tools such as StQL, Python, R, SPSS, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and experience partnering with designers, product managers, and engineers.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast changing environment.
  • Experience working in a global organization and collaborating across diverse teams and time zones.
  • Familiarity with the social media industry or content creation platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic research to identify novel product opportunities and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences within the Global monetization space.
  • Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies,server logs and online experiments (A/B testing).
  • Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development, or a Master's degree and 3+ years relevant experience, or a PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate research findings into strategic narratives and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology,Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics.
  • Proven ability to influence product strategy through high-quality, data-driven research.
  • The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $126578 - $266400 annually.
