Vans is seeking a Design Manager, Women's Apparel to lead the design development of Women’s assortments and drive the brand's mission to inspire and empower everyone to live “Off The Wall”
Requirements
- Ability to translate insights and inspiration into compelling apparel concepts
- Ability to conduct trend analysis and market research to inform design decisions
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of design development, trend analysis, and team management
Responsibilities
- Drive the design development of Women’s assortments in line with seasonal concepts
- Conduct trend and business analysis to inform design decisions
- Create sketches, initial tech packs, fit direction, fabric selection and developments
- Allocate colors, develop washes and finishes, and manage submit and bulk approvals
- Manage and motivate the Women’s Apparel Design team through the design development of seasonal collections and special projects
- Partner with regional and global cross-functional teams to facilitate the GTM collection pipeline
- Oversee the process from pre-season research and development, design and cost-engineering, to bulk approvals
