Equipment Technologies Inc. is seeking a Vehicle controls & software engineering co-op/intern to assist with new designs, analysis, testing, and validation support for their agricultural sprayers, contributing to the company's innovation in feeding a growing global population.
Requirements
- Working knowledge in harness design/layout work a plus
- Experience with a major 3D CAD/Analysis modeling software a plus
- Understanding of embedded control systems development and analysis tools, i.e., MATLAB/Simulink, CANalyzer etc. a plus
- Experience in software development such as C, C++, Python etc.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior electrical/control systems engineers in assigned tasks related to new electrical and control system designs, assist in developing appropriate design specs for components, help vendor interactions, select suitable power system, and control system components.
- Utilize CAD modeling and electrical harness design software to assist electrical harness layout and routing.
- Assist in developing appropriate embedded software.
- Assist in validation test plans & contribute to testing efforts.
- Perform necessary calculation and analysis based on sound understanding of electrical/electronic principles.
Other
- Must be self-motivated and passionate in electrical/controls design.
- Ability to solve problems independently quickly and creatively and in teams.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong people skills.
- Junior/Senior in college majoring in BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or relevant areas.
