Siemens EDA is looking to solve the business and technical problem of enabling companies to develop new, highly innovative electronic products faster and more cost-effectively by providing groundbreaking Verification IP (VIP) solutions. The Senior Applications Engineer will be responsible for the technical selling and support of this VIP portfolio, ensuring customer success and driving broader adoption of Siemens EDA's VIP solutions.

Requirements

  • Expertise in coding with Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog, and UVM is mandatory
  • Knowledge of one or more high-speed interface protocols such as PCIe, CXL, UCIe, Ethernet, or USB.
  • Knowledge of controllers for one or more high-speed interface protocols
  • Experience with integrating commercial VIP in UVM bench preferred
  • Individual leadership and initiative to lead pre-sales accounts
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to break down sophisticated problems into manageable tasks

Responsibilities

  • Integrate VIP in customer testbench or guide them to do so themselves.
  • Provide technical leadership on all aspects of sales campaigns.
  • Chip in and complete pre-sales and post-sales account strategies as a member of the sales team.
  • Qualify the technical viability of sales opportunities and communicate them to the sales team.
  • Lead VIP portfolio presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers and effectively communicate the value proposition of Siemens EDA solutions to them.
  • Proactively share account, evaluation, competitor, technology, and other useful information with peers, sales teams, management, and product divisions to help us compete more effectively.
  • Ensure customers receive timely, effective support.

Other

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of work experience in semiconductor or EDA OR master's in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent with 3+ years of work experience in semiconductor or EDA
  • Excellent presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills
  • This position can entail as much as 20% travel.
  • Preferred work locations are Bay Area, CA; Austin, TX; Boston, MA; and Boulder, CO.
