The Media Group at NBCU needs to develop, strategize, and deliver data platform capabilities to support its consumer-first brands, aiming to innovate faster, accelerate growth, and offer the best consumer experience. This role will manage the product vision and roadmap across a modern data ecosystem, driving stakeholder alignment and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and value-driven data products.
Requirements
- Understanding of data architecture concepts (e.g., Medallion/Lakehouse, Mesh, Event Streams, Cleanrooms, Identity Graphs).
- Strong background in building internal products, ingestion frameworks, and metadata-driven data platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance, cataloging, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Background in cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Experience with real-time streaming architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
- Exposure to zero-trust or differential privacy-based data sharing models.
- Experience with ML feature stores, observability, or data contracts.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the strategic roadmap for data products across ingestion, transformation, metadata, and sharing domains.
- Lead the evolution of our Medallion architecture to support trusted, curated, and governed data products.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and governance teams to scale data mesh principles and platform capabilities.
- Oversee products that automate and enrich metadata lineage and discovery, supporting data governance and self-service.
- Partner with marketing and advertising teams to integrate identity resolution and cleanroom data products that comply with privacy regulations.
- Facilitate the product integration of customer 360, audience activation datasets, and data-sharing interfaces that enable analytics and personalization.
- Develop scalable frameworks for data sharing internally and externally, leveraging mesh principles, APIs, and data contracts.
