C3 AI is seeking a Vice President of Developer Enablement to define and execute the strategy for how developers, data scientists, and architects master the C3 AI Platform, treating technical education as a scalability engine

Requirements

  • Technical Fluency: Demonstrated ability to read and write code (Python, JavaScript, Java) and a deep understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proven Enablement Success: Experience building 'Center of Excellence' style frameworks that successfully ramped up external developer ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated fluency in creating and editing high-fidelity video tutorials, utilizing video as a critical medium to elevate the technical conversation and visually demonstrate the depth of the C3 AI Platform
  • Experience specifically with AI/ML platforms or complex data integration tools.
  • Background in professional services or systems integration, providing a deep empathy for the implementation engineer.
  • Experience with 'Docs-as-Code' workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define the vision for C3 AI’s technical information architecture. Transition the organization from reactive content creation to a proactive, developer-centric enablement framework.
  • Content Engineering: Oversee the creation of highly technical documentation, API references, and architecture guides. Ensure content is accurate, testable, and automated where possible.
  • Scalable Training Frameworks: Design and implement a certification and training ecosystem that can scale to thousands of external developers and partners.
  • Hands-on Validation: Personally validate the 'Time to Hello World' and developer journey. If a tutorial breaks, you should have the technical acumen to diagnose why.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work in lockstep with Product Management and Engineering to ensure documentation is developed concurrently with new features, not as an afterthought.
  • Team Building: Recruit and manage a high-performing team of Technical Writers, Instructional Designers, Technical Trainers, and Developer Advocates who hold themselves to the highest standards of technical accuracy.

Other

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Physics, or a related hard science field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical leadership within enterprise SaaS, PaaS, or deeply technical software companies.
  • Leadership: Experience managing distributed teams and driving high output in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
