Avantor is looking to solve the problem of building best-in-class processes and standards around personal safety, process safety, environmental, manufacturing processes, maintenance, and compliance, while integrating new manufacturing sites into the business and producing products that meet customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Industry 4.0, automation, AI/ML, MES, ERP integration, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing process control, QbD, and supply chain analytics.
  • Experience with IoT, automation, AI-driven analytics, and digital twin technology.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics, AI/ML, and real-time process monitoring.
  • Experience with Quality by Design (QbD) principles and data-driven process control.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, and machine learning adoption in manufacturing and logistics.
  • Experience with technology investments to drive cost reduction, yield improvements, and achieve sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global Digital Manufacturing strategy aligned with Avantor’s growth and efficiency objectives.
  • Lead Industry 4.0 adoption, including IoT, automation, AI-driven analytics, and digital twin technology.
  • Drive Smart Manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and predictive maintenance.
  • Champion the use of advanced analytics, AI/ML, and real-time process monitoring to optimize operations.
  • Implement Quality by Design (QbD) principles through data-driven process control.
  • Enhance automation, robotics, and machine learning adoption in manufacturing and logistics.
  • Optimize technology investments to drive cost reduction, yield improvements, and achieve sustainability goals.

Other

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing technology, digital transformation, or operational IT leadership.
  • Proven track record leading multi-site, global technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence at all levels of the organization, and align operational strategies with business objectives.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a focus on fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture.
