OneMain is looking to build and scale industry-leading digital experiences for its customers across web and mobile platforms, requiring a leader to drive the creation of innovative digital products that impact millions of customers and support the company's digital strategy.

Requirements

  • Deep experience shipping products across platforms and across geos as a designer and coaching others through it.
  • Appreciation for all forms of design and how they collaborate—interaction, visual, content, motion, and research.
  • Expert proficiency with Figma, Miro, usertesting.com, Dovetail and other relevant domain software consistent with industry standards.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects demonstrating your design process, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong systems thinker with experience defining patterns, style guides, performing user testing, and building low and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Solid understanding of software development and how to collaborate with developers.
  • Experience driving the end-to-end design process, from concept ideation and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and user testing, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of innovative digital products that will impact millions of customers and drive the success of our digital strategy.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered, high-quality designs.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, UX research, content design, and other teams to define the strategy, operations, and communication that guide the development of user-centric products.
  • Your work will span across product strategy, interaction design, visual design, and execution to ensure our products are valuable, intuitive, and of the highest quality.
  • Lead the creation of brand-specific consumer experiences, shaping cohesive user journeys across a product family.
  • Collaborate with teams in Product, Engineering, and other business areas, guiding the design team in developing rapid visual concepts and high-fidelity designs.
  • Set and maintain a high standard of excellence for user-centered design, championing the design system as a core tool for consistency and scalability.

  • Experience being a design activator, working to deliver a platform vision and strategy that balances revolutionary framework projects along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates to realize a more extensive vision.
  • Success up-leveling design acumen through strategic design sprints, prototyping, and ensuring highly curated end-to-end experiences. Comfortable role modeling and "rolling up your sleeves" to show, teach, and elevate extraordinary designs and products.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring leads and individual contributors, as well as developing talent and upgrading craft skills.
