LIV Golf is seeking to shape and lead its global privacy strategy while ensuring the ethical and accountable use of data and AI technologies, in response to its expanding global footprint and digital presence.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in global privacy regulations and emerging issues (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, AI regulation, biometrics, children’s privacy, digital marketing).
  • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT strongly preferred.
  • Proven success leading a privacy program or legal function in a fast-paced, global organization.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with ability to translate complex privacy issues into practical guidance.
  • Experience in privacy, data protection, and technology transactions.
  • Ability to balance innovation with compliance, bringing sound judgment to complex global challenges.
  • Ability to operate as a hands-on problem solver with a proactive, “roll up your sleeves” approach.

Responsibilities

  • Design, lead, and manage LIV Golf’s global privacy and AI governance program, ensuring alignment with business goals and evolving regulatory landscapes.
  • Draft and implement global privacy and AI policies; build and maintain supporting standards, procedures, and training.
  • Embed privacy-by-design and responsible AI practices across digital products, apps, partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as lead counsel on global privacy and data protection matters.
  • Draft and negotiate technology, vendor, and commercial agreements.
  • Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with international privacy and AI regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging frameworks).
  • Lead privacy impact assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) and data related risk assessments.

Other

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree; admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, and technology transactions, ideally combining top-tier law firm and in-house experience.
  • Industry background in sports, entertainment, or media is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and cultures without direct authority.
  • Highly adaptable, thrive under pressure, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
