BNY is looking to hire a Vice President, Kubernetes System Engineer to design, deploy, secure, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters, both on-prem and in cloud, to support internal developer platforms and critical client applications.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on Kubernetes infrastructure experience (cluster deployment, management, and security).
- Strong Linux administration experience.
- Strong understanding of linux kernal internals
- Strong knowledge of container orchestration best practices and infrastructure design.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring frameworks.
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or similar) preferred.
- Advanced certifications in infrastructure engineering or related disciplines preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, secure, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters, both on-prem and in cloud (AKS, OpenShift), ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Build and manage container orchestration infrastructure that supports internal developer platforms and critical client applications.
- Monitor Kubernetes logs and cluster health; troubleshoot infrastructure-level and containerization issues to minimize downtime and ensure compliance.
- Implement storage policies, security controls, patching protocols, and lifecycle management processes for containerized environments.

- 6+ years of systems engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $150,000 per year
