BNY is looking for a Vice President, Kubernetes System Engineer to design, deploy, secure, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters, build and manage container orchestration infrastructure, monitor cluster health, and implement security and lifecycle management processes for containerized environments.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on Kubernetes infrastructure experience (cluster deployment, management, and security).
- Strong Linux administration experience.
- Strong understanding of linux kernal internals
- Strong knowledge of container orchestration best practices and infrastructure design.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring frameworks.
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or similar) preferred.
- Advanced certifications in infrastructure engineering or related disciplines preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, secure, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters, both on-prem and in cloud (AKS, OpenShift), ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Build and manage container orchestration infrastructure that supports internal developer platforms and critical client applications.
- Monitor Kubernetes logs and cluster health; troubleshoot infrastructure-level and containerization issues to minimize downtime and ensure compliance.
- Implement storage policies, security controls, patching protocols, and lifecycle management processes for containerized environments.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 6+ years of systems engineering experience in enterprise environments.
