The organization is looking to solve the problem of developing, delivering, and supporting software products by hiring a Vice President of Software Engineering to provide strategic and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Proven success with agile software development methods
- Experience establishing and enforcing software development policies aligned with compliance standards (ISO 2700x, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Strong background in CI/CD implementation and UX management
- Experience acquiring software products and services and integrating third-party software products
- Experience with knowledge graph technologies
- Experience leading remote and distributed teams
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software engineering and emerging technologies
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for software engineering, including talent recruitment, development, and mentorship
- Shape and communicate a cohesive product vision integrating technical innovation, user needs, and organizational priorities
- Position software teams for productivity and quality by adopting modern, agile development methods and AI-assisted tools
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure product relevance, value, and technical cohesion
- Build, lead, and sustain high-performing Software Engineering and User Experience teams
- Align Software Engineering with other business units to ensure effective development policies and practices
- Deliver measurable results through KPI performance, budget management, and adherence to quality standards
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of progressive technical experience in software engineering
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing software development teams
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Exceptional leadership, project management, and communication skills
