Redesign Health is seeking a senior technical executive to lead the AI-driven transformation of incumbent healthcare companies they acquire, aiming to unlock outlier outcomes for patients, providers, and investors by deeply embedding AI.
Requirements
- Deep technical fluency in applied AI (particularly LLMs, automation tools, and multi-agent systems), with strong architectural instincts and track record.
- Specific expertise in at least one agentic framework (e.g., LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, autogen, Google ADK/A2A), which you’ve used at scale and in production to realize efficiency gains in the millions of dollars.
- A degree in a technical field (CS, engineering, math, or related), with a strong grasp of the frontier of AI capability and limitations.
- You are a true builder: you’ve shipped real products, automated real workflows, know what it takes to go from idea to production, and you continue to code—with increasing AI leverage—every day.
Responsibilities
- Design and own the AI playbook that will be deployed across acquired healthcare businesses, focused on intelligent workflow design, talent acquisition and management, and human-computer interaction to drive margin expansion, revenue growth, and improved outcomes.
- Lead AI strategy and execution across a growing portfolio of healthcare operating companies, partnering with investment professionals and management teams to embed AI as a core function.
- Build, oversee, and inspire an AI engineering and transformation team, including external partners and internal talent.
- Identify and integrate best-in-class AI technologies (e.g., LLM-based copilots, agentic systems, workflow automation, ambient clinical documentation, AI-powered clinical decision support, EHR MCPs, etc.) across clinical, revenue cycle, support, and analytics operations.
- Serve on the investment team and work closely with Redesign leadership to evaluate potential acquisitions through an AI lens—assessing AI transformability and corresponding margin and growth uplift.
- Continually evolve the firm’s AI transformation methodology, drawing on best practices in systems design, AI safety, and enterprise deployment.
Other
- Multiple senior technical executive (e.g., CTO, GM) roles with $100MM+ P&L or budget ownership in one or both of the following areas: AI leadership at a scaled technology-driven organization, ideally in operationally complex or regulated environments. AI leadership at a top consulting, PE, government, or services organization with expertise and multiple notable successes in complex organizational transformation.
- Experience working directly with senior business leaders to drive organizational change via technology, with marquee success stories of transformation under your leadership.
- Prior exposure to healthcare delivery, services, or operations is highly advantageous.
- Technology is one of your passions, but you find deep meaning in some other pursuit to which you’ve devoted your time, thought, and effort; for example a creative or athletic outlet, or a family business.
- You believe most people underestimate what AI will do to the middle of the org chart and have developed concrete theses about optimal labor organization in the age of AI.
- You have a compelling point of view, rooted in behavioral science and technological capabilities, on how to deploy AI in legacy environments—and the tenacity to push through inertia and complexity.
- You believe the combination of private equity transactions and technical remodeling is a generational opportunity for healthcare transformation.
